Have you learned yet?
Would you be willing to try to do something differently if you knew you couldn't fail? Guess what — it's true. Every situation gives you an opportunity to learn something new about yourself or another. It gives you a new chance to decide what you want more of or less of in your life. It gives you the power to decide if your life is going to move forward or backward; staying the same isn't an option because everything in the universe is in a constant state of flux. Life is about continuous lifelong learning, not about achieving a goal. There will always be something new to learn. Once you've reached a long held goal, what are you going to do next? The world doesn't stop changing and presenting you with new lessons to learn once you've got the great job, the great relationship, the great home or any other transitory goal.
As long as you're learning, your life is headed in the right direction. That's not to say it will be easy but the probability of you living the life of your dreams increases when you are willing to take a risk and do something differently. What can possibly stop you from expanding your horizon and trying something new? Fear isn't a valid reason. Fear is a learned behavior for the most part and it keeps you stuck where you are instead of living a more joy-filled life. It holds you hostage and keeps you from having the freedom to create the wonderful life you deserve.
Be brave. Make conscious choices about how you want to live your life. Take baby steps until you've built up the inner strength to try a bigger leap of faith. Believe whole heartedly in what you’re doing. Focus on win/win situations where the highest good of all concerned is achieved.
Know that you succeed every time you venture out of your comfort zone and you'll transcend self-doubt and improve the quality of your life. Excuses become just a thing of the past when you have an unshakable belief in the value of your efforts and that value means you can see the benefit of whatever you're experiencing in you life. You are a success every time you learn something and your success grows when your apply what you've just learned to the next situation. Success builds upon success and it all starts by your willingness to see a situation differently.
The things you previously categorized as “good” or “bad” all take on a new definition—They become an opportunity to learn about yourself and others Everything serves to move you forward, when your commitments and efforts are in step with your convictions.
The way to truly believe in what you do, is to do what you truly believe in. Just remember, anger prevents you from being a healing force in someone else’s life and from having what you want in your own life. It causes you to focus on the differences that divide people instead of the similarities that unite people. It is a waste of time and energy to try and adjust your beliefs to fit your circumstances. How can you accomplish anything when you’re working against yourself? Effectiveness, success and fulfillment come when you adjust your circumstances to fit your positive beliefs. That is most certainly a challenge, and one that is well worth the effort.
Believe that every experience is a learning experience and your view of life will change. See yourself as being successful, believe that you are a success, do the things a successful person would do and you'll truly know deep in your heart that you really are a success. Success is as much a matter of attitude as it is of circumstances. As long as you're learning and applying what you learn, you're a success!
