An unexpected blessing

It's noon on a lovely afternoon here in Scottsdale, Arizona.  I'm having a garage sale today because I will be moving at the end of the month and want to recycle some lovely items that no longer resonate with the me that I've become since the time I first purchased the items.

I didn't have any "customers" yesterday nor this morning. What I did have was a wonderful gift from God in the form of a friend. I hadn't seen this woman in over three years because "life got in the way" and there she was at 9:00 surprising me as she knocked on my door and offered to help in any way I could best use her talents.

During the few hours she was here, we got caught up on what's going on in our lives and she helped me to get caught up with my packing. The time I spent with Patricia had more value than any amount of money I would have gotten for selling "stuff." I'm grateful.

Things wear out or outlast their usefulness; a nourished soul lives eternally. I am very blessed.
